Still the fanciest sabre blade you can buy. These things are actually still hand-forged by wizened bladesmiths in an actual forge in Southern France. Each batch is unique. Wholesale buyers still have to select batches and sort them out by thickness, weight, and flexibility — by hand.

The “Z-pros” are a modified Blaise Freres blade that Leon Paul refines with grinding and resurfacing, leaving a subtle matte finish that glows golden-bronze. Good present for that special sabre fencer in your life.

The Z-Pro Maraging blade has been designed and developed by Leon Paul London and created by Blaise Frere in France. It is lightweight yet made from Maraging Stainless steel, our Maragaing Z-Pro normally last 5 times longer than the regular Z-Pro, this makes them the most robust sabre blades available.
This is the ultimate performance blade used by our top athletes around the world.

The first Z-Pro blade was designed to be as light as possible to give speed and control. This was achieved mainly by thinning the tip of the blade. We wanted to create something that performed like the Z-Pro but lasted much longer. To achieve this the Leon Paul design team travelled to France to meet with Blaise Frere (BF) who are one of the most respected and skilled forges in the world. BF have been producing the highest quality blades for many years and now specialise in making FIE blades from Maraging steel. Traditional Maraging Sabre blade have lasted well but been too heavy and too stiff so we began work with them to make the first truly great Maraging sabre blade.

By using Maraging steel we have managed to keep the same feel of the Z-Pro but greatly increase the life of the blade and allow it to keep its shape for longer.
